Unpublished Diary page-2 of a Home-maker...

“Did u both packed your bags?...taken your lunch box? ...tied your laces?...finish your glass of milk fast.....go downstairs and sit in the car ...I’ll be there in a minute”.......blah blah blah....these were some of the routine instructions which if prerecorded can be played every day in the morning without fail to add more chaos in my already chaotic house....And you guessed right...I was the one to be blamed ...😁...my body was tuned to play in the certain regimen for 5 days a week ....screaming to the highest pitch..... I sometimes use to be so exhausted that, hastily use to dump my boys to their respective pathshalas

“Maa where have you parked the car the previous evening ....it’s not seen here...pls come fast ..we are getting late”...kids were shouting from the ground floor in a sarcastic tone as if I have committed some unpardonable crime.......today I was on the extra duty of a driver to drop them to school as previous night their dear Dad has gone out of the country on his official trip...anxiously I fumbled with the lock and key and ran downstairs only to get the shock of my life that car was missing and probably stolen 😩. Like a chameleon, my expressions changed Within seconds from the state of disgusts to the utmost relief of good riddance.😁😁

‘Whatever happens ..happens for a cause’.....heard this phrase a lot of time but I could surmise only now. Somehow managed to drop them at school but now it was time to register FIR for my lost Maruti 800...we fondly named it Foolpari. Must be wondering why?....Ab 2 km chal Kar Kaun discharge ho jata hai .....no guesses required ....my Foolpari 😛.

Lately many a time we thought of buying a new AC car .......but why???...was I had this sinking feeling as if one of our adorable members of the family is missing? ...I had plenty of memories associated with our FOOLPARI🚗........it was not only a convenient way of conveyance for me....... but it was key to my liberated self ...as I drove around the town in my Foolpari....window glasses rolled down and car stereo at its loudest.....on few occasions I use to get very funny reactions while driving in the jam-packed roads of south Delhi ...’ O’ Madame Gaddi Chala rahi ho ya cycle ...Kahin Bhi Kabhi Bhi fansa deti ho..., music ka volume Kam Karo Madame ...car main dance party Akele hi?”.....I swear... on a hot summer day... I enjoyed the drive in my car even though it was devoid of AC.....perspiring in rhythm.😊

Lajpat Nagar central market has its own charm ...it caters the need of everybody and of all income groups...it is also Mecca for suite and sari lovers....we Indians have no dearth of hospitality ...as I was shown every nook and corner of the market by my already settled friend in south Delhi so now I was carrying forward the tradition,  it was my turn to do the honors....so here I was ready with my Foolpari to paint the town red with my bosom friend.........we did enjoy the leisurely trip to mkt. Alas!!! An ensuing a couple of visits she denied her free ride to the market ....thereafter much cajoling she told me with disgust “since every time Foolpari reaches the Moolchand chauraha its the battery is low and subsequently I have to push the car... I prefer being going by auto.....I think Foolpari is too delicate to carry my load”....later we laughed a lot but yes I was too embarrassed to ask her for another outing.

Seems car trauma was not faced by me alone ...my neighbor to one day came running and exasperatedly told me that I have been asked by my husband to wear a raincoat while driving the car in case it’s raining as he can’t do anything for the leakage right above the driving seat.....I was in splits visualizing her, driving her car in raincoat during the torrential downpour...😂😂😂😂😂😂

Absconding Foolpari was the burning issue as of now so finally I managed to call the police station and very politely they asked me to stay home as one of the inspectors is going to visit our house in the evening. But by the evening I had another daunting task to cajole the kids to go for language classes....but I promised them or must say bribed them with burger chips treat for the dinner and they were ready to walk a mile for their classes as it was difficult to find auto during those peak hours.......fate has something better in store ....while we were crossing the pet shop my younger one stopped to have a look of a cute little rabbit in a cage ....yes fascinated by the white and black spotted cotton ball ...it was joie de vivre.....it did not take long to pursue me as I too was ready to take it home ....lessons in daily life are not only taught by grown ups ..kids have the purest of heart in the moment of innocence they teach us a lifetime of the lesson....both simultaneously agreed to buy one more rabbit as they don’t want their pet to go through loneliness ..and also asked me that they don’t want burger meal instead I can buy the pair of rabbit and they were happy with it...I wanted to capture the precious look of their faces ....so with this deal we carried along with us the fistful of happiness to alight our little cocoon of delight....nothing beats this moment, as back home I fondly watched the kids preparing the cotton bed in a shoebox and trying to feed little rabbits jumping up and down in kids bedroom upstairs in my duplex flat ....now from today BUGS and BUNNY became an integral part of our abode.❤️❤️
