सूखती शाख

 सूख्ती शाखों पर

तुमने
क्या जादू किया
कि
पल भर में
ख़ुशबू बिखेरती
फूलों की टहनियों में
नयी तरंग
नयी उमंग
दौड़ गयी
मुस्कुराने की वज़ह
तुम ही तो थी
क्या यह
काफ़ी नहीं था
कि
आज ढलते हुए
सूरज को
कल फिर से उगने की
वज़ह मिल गयी
तुम्हारी शख़्सियत की
तारीफ़ में
एक ख़ासियत
और शुमार हो गयी
कि बारिश की बूँदों
के मानिन्द
रिश्तों को
सहेज कर रखना
किस क़दर
शौक़ ए ज़िन्दगी
बन पड़ा ।

Wings

Wings Who cares? Do I fly or not? My wings were there but I never thought of using them for ages. I chopped them on my own to shreds just to make a perfect nest and reached a state of despondency, but is it possible for a bird to protect her nest from evil eyes without wings? still, a debatable statement fluttering in my silly small mindset. Fast forward to the time machine, I reached the state of numbness where nothing else matters and hardly much to lose, specifically needing apt justification of the famous proverb, “It’s never too late”. Gathered my courage with my mutilated self-esteem and confidence which was crushed and devastated due to towering self-imposed personalities. Yup !!!! winner in me again erupted like a sleeping volcano. So here I am thankful to much-criticized social media arms and ammunitions for providing me wings.   The other side!!! Dear Corona, First of all, I want to wish you a Happy Holi. At approximately this time last year, we just started feeling the heat of your confirmed deadly arrival. And it generated the series of events which were directed by the government to save us from you. Emergency imposed in an emergency. How strange, our lips were sealed and breathing obstructed to stay away from you. As if the media was under the control of the government since it has abused its independence. Very true we actually misused our freedom of speech. Hats off to you my dear Corona. In a single shot, you caught us and we surrendered without much resistance, and those who violated the order, have been court-martialled.  Not used to deserted roads and human silence, we wondered what was going to happen if any calamity struck and we were left alone on earth.
