A normal chitchat turned our dream into a reality. God has been kind to me so he made me human with lots of creative pursuits, but I call myself master of none. Probably it may sound cliché but I always tried to do something which dive me into the creative world. As a head of the organization, I had the liberty to coin the idea and request the members to further work on it. So, like to share a small incident which prompted me to take this beautiful risqué. One day just over the casual phone call with my fellow mate we discussed briefly about the online art competition. I do believe every crisis brings in the new opportunity, if we utilize it properly. The dreaded Corona generated the online work culture out of necessity and paved the way for many new opportunities. One more positive we had in our kitty. Proud to mention, the BSNL, being the PSU with largest network and even the remotest villages have the telephone connections and the very important of 21st century, internet facility. This gave us the wings to fly in the horizon with unlimited scope but with limited resources.
Ideation part is easy but to make a team and put that for implementation is rather difficult. Consider myself Lucky to have an enthusiastic creative bunch of 6 members. An impromptu call to Shalini regarding some financial suggestions made me realise that she gives unbiased opinion towards any issues. Dear Rakhi already in the team as she was the brain child behind this project and trying to fructify it at any cost. Next in line we had to take the help of Sheetal who untiring worked for the technical part. For her also it was a self education programme as it compelled her to enhance her computer skills. We were doing our bit but still somewhere we were missing a mate who knows different types of art forms. This lacuna was filled by Anu. Her impeccable knowledge of various mediums greatly helped in primary screening of art works. Then came an enthusiastic person who is always ready to do any task and her problem solving nature completed our team of super six.
We were little sceptical of its success but just crossed our fingers because nothing was at stake other than our hard work. With endless online meetings , khatarnak arguments, manmutav, cold wars, leg pulling and above all, in the end coming to consensus was the result which we agreed to do even if we had slight disagreements. All in all it was a delightful roller coaster ride having six strong personalities doing brain storming. No regrets for any fight as it improved the every decision we took.
As we all cherish the fact that BSNL is large organisations having 28 TWWO’s under one flag TWCO, based at Delhi. With the cooperation and persistent efforts of all the Presidents, made it a successful project. I like to dedicate the stupendous success of this one of its kind venture to all the teams who made it possible .
You know we all are artist by heart since any work we do it needs some unique contribution which is like a unique DNA. No two scientists approach in the same style for its experiments likewise no two cooks prepare same dish with similar ingredients identical. So for us each artwork which was submitted was unique. We found some hidden gems who were passionately working in oblivion.Expectations from the working staff was negligible and to our surprise it outshined many. During one of the interview sessions we were elated by their response and inspired us to pursue our passion for our mental well-being. Home makers made us proud and it gave them the recognition which they very well deserved.
To sum up personally for me it was very full-filling experience. Hope, excitement, recognition, competition, inspiration and plethora of emotions ruled for full 3 months.
It kicked of in the festive month of October and month sets in motion for good 3 months till the beginning of new year to celebrate with a cause.
So let’s pledge to inspire and get the inspiration to enhance our creative skills which keep us away from the negativity of interpersonal relationships.
Till next time Lots of love
Manjari. 🩷❣️
